About

Andy Olivastro is a creative and innovative strategist entrusted by high profile leaders and organizations – over 20 years – to lead message development, direct issue campaigns and manage crisis planning and response while driving transformational change and delivering global business results.

With United Technologies Corp., Andy led the Fortune 50 company’s global executive and employee communications teams as well as it’s multi-million dollar community affairs and philanthropy portfolio.

Prior to UTC, he spent 12 years in Washington, D.C.

At Edelman Public Relations, Andy was a founding member of a team that provided elite services to senior executives at Fortune 10 companies and their respective trade associations.

With an appointment from President George W. Bush, Andy helped direct the speechwriting team for U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez, collaborating on major policy addresses delivered worldwide.

As sole speechwriter to Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie, Andy crafted compelling and effective messages for races across the country throughout the historic 2004 election cycle.

Earlier roles included strategic communications and policy analysis at the nation’s most widely-supported think tank and as a policy-focused journalist.

Andy’s career started as a newspaper reporter and he was among the inaugural corps of digital journalists to receive official Congressional press credentials as news organizations made the pivot to focus on online coverage and audience engagement.
